K.I.P.P., “Knowledge is Power Program, as seen on Oprah, provides college prep education for uban youth throughout the US. Shift wrote and produced KIPP’s theme song “I’ll Be the First” for their celebrity basketball tournament in Los Angeles, hosted by the cast of Homemakeover, Extreme Edition. Shift taught and directed KIPP students who performed the theme song for this event, resulting in nearly $40,000 for KIPP-LA.
